The weekend has come and gone AGAIN. Two days just never feels like long enough, am I right? Whether you're sitting in class or stuck at work, chances are you've got a case of the Mondays just like us... Cheer up, buttercup! Monday really isn’t so bad. Sometimes a little Monday Motivation is just what you need to kick off your week the right way. Think about exactly what inspires you and use that as the fuel to your fire! These 3 quotes will help you get started.
"Great things never came from comfort zones."
the fear of the unknown deter you from trying something new or chasing your dreams. Remember- if you want something you’ve never had, you have to do
something you’ve never done.
"Ask yourself if what you’re doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow."
Are you where you want to be in life? No? What is stopping you from getting there? Setting challenging yet realistic goals is key when planning for your future, but deciding how you plan to achieve those goals is even more important. Make an effort every day to cut out the things that will hold you back. Identifying and eliminating the obstacles and behaviors that are standing in the way will take time and patience. Always remember to strive for progress, not perfection.
"Don’t compare your chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 20."
We've all done it. Her clothes are amazing. How did she get so fit? I need a boyfriend like that. Can I BE her? Blah. Blah, BLAH. Truthfully, social media has only perpetuated this comparison problem. It's hard to ignore since our Instagram and Facebook feeds are so saturated with vacation selfies, Transformation Tuesdays, and relationship statuses. Before you jump to any conclusions, remember that what you are seeing is only surface level. You will never really know their struggles or fears- just what you can gather from the “highlight reel” of their lives. Behind the scenes of every perfect post is an untold story. Stay focused on your goals and how you plan to accomplish them and everything else will seem much less important.
